Registration(BoER)isworkingwiththeOfficeoftheGeorgiaSecretaryofStatewhiletheyare

conductingtheirroutineandlegallyrequiredmaintenancetothestatevoterroll.CamdenCounty

has5,919inactivevoterswhomaybecancelledifappropriateactionbythevoterisnottaken

beforeDecember7,2019.

HavinganaccuratevoterlistisimportantinordertoensurethatonElectionDay,thereare

suitablepollingfacilities,anappropriatenumberofstaffandpollworkersateachlocation,and

theBoERisabletoprovidethevoterwithatimelyexperiencefromcheck-intocastingtheir

ballot.

PerGeorgiacode(O0.C.G.A.§21-2-234),avoterbecomesinactivewhenoneofthese

conditionsismet:

eAvoterfilesachangeofaddressrequestwiththeUSPSindicatingamoveoutofstateor

county.

eOfficialelectionmailisreturnedundeliverable.

eApersonhasnocontactwithelectionsofficialsfor5years,includingnotvotinginany

election,notsigninganypetition,notrenewingadriver’slicense,andnotupdatingtheir

voterregistration.

Noticestoinactivevotersweremailedtothevoter’slastknownaddressonNovember6,2019.

Voterswillhave30days,untilDecember6,2019,torespondbeforecancellation.
