SteveHowardwelcomedABLCEO,HarryO’HanleyandCFODanPiemonttoCamdenCountyonMonday
toreviewfacilitiesandindustrialsitesforABL’sfutureoperationsinCamdenCounty.
ABL’svisittoCamdenrepresentsacommitmenttoSpaceportCamdenthatwascodifiedinamemorandum
ofunderstandingbetweenABLandCamdenCountyofficialsinMarchtoexplorethetest,manufacture,
assemble,andlaunchorbitalvehiclesinCamdenCounty.ABLhasexpressedinterestinbeginninga
groundtestcampaigninCamdenCountyassoonasthefourthquarterof2018.
“WeareexcitedtowelcomeABLSpaceSystemstoCamden.Itisimmediatelyclearthatwesharea
commonvisionforthecommercialspaceandtheroleSpaceportCamdencanplayinadvancingthis
importantindustrysector,”saidCamdenJDAExecutiveDirectorJamesCoughlin.“ABLwantstogetstarted
rightawayandwethinkthereareavarietyofsitesinCamdenCountythatcouldallowthemtobegintesting
andmanufacturingtheirlaunchvehiclebeforetheendoftheyear.”
