“CamdenCountyresidentsshouldbeproudofthededicatednegotiationstheirelectedand
appointedofficialsmadeontheirbehalf,”saidCamdenCountyBoardofCommissioners
ChairmanGaryBlount.“Whiletherewasinitialdisagreement,ourleaderscametogethertoact
inthebestinterestsofourcommunity.”
“TheworkingrelationshipbetweentheCityofKingsland,theothermunicipalities,andCamden
Countyisvaluabletoalllocalresidents,”saidKingslandMayorDr.C.GraysonDay.“Ourability
tocompromiseandfindsolutionsmakesusastrongercommunityand|amverypleasedthat
wewereabletoreachanagreementthatwillbenefitthecitiesandthecounty."
LOSTrevenuesarea1%salestaxonallgoodspurchasedwithinthecounty.Thesetaxdollars
arepaidbybothresidentsandnon-residents.BeginningJanuary1,2023,theLOSTrevenues
willbedividedwiththefollowingpercentages:

Overthecourseofthreemeetings,electedandappointedofficialsfromCamdenCountyandthe
CitiesofKingsland,St.Marys,andWoodbineutilizedtheeightcriteriamentionedinGeorgialaw
toreachthepercentageslistedabove.

LOSTrenegotiations,”saidWoodbineMayorKizziKnight.“Woodbineresidents,alongwiththe
restofthecounty,benefitfromourcollaborationasweworktowardsimprovingourcommunity
inthisnextdecade.”
