CountyonAugust11,2020,aspartoftheU.S.CensusBureau’sNonresponseFollowup(NRFU).
CamdenCountyresidentsarestronglyencouragedtocooperatewithCensusTakersand
completethe2020CensusfortheirhouseholdtoensureCamdenCountyiscorrectlycountedat
theStateandFederallevels.
“Completingthe2020Censusforyourhouseholdisoneoftheeasiestandmostproductiveways
togivebacktoourcommunity,”saidCommunityEngagement&StrategicPlanningManager
ClaireFeazel.“EveryCamdenCountyresidentcountsequallyandallareimportantforustoreach
ourgoal.ASacommunity,wearetiedtothesenumbersforthenexttenyears.Wearestill
receivingfundingandresourcesbasedoffofthe2010Censusdata.”
Censusdataisusedtodeterminehowover$675billioninfederalfundingisdistributedannually.
Additionally,thisdatadecidesrepresentationattheFederal,State,andlocallevel.TheU.S.
CensusBureaurecentlyannouncedanearlierendtotheself-responseperiod.CamdenCounty
residentshaveuntilSeptember30,2020tocompletethe2020Census.
AlthoughCensusTakersarebeginningtovisithouseholdsandneighborhoods,residentsmaystill
completethe2020Censusonline,byphone,orbymail.Anyhouseholdthatneedstocomplete
the2020Censusmayvisitmy2020census.govorcall1-844-330-2020.Moreinformation,
includinglinkstoaninformationalcopyofthequestionnaire(PDF),areavailableat:
