(GEMA)hasdeclaredFebruary1-5,2021,tobeSevereWeatherPreparednessWeekand
CamdenCountyEmergencyManagementAgency(EMA)urgesallCamdenCountycitizensto
taketimetolearnaboutpossiblesevereweatherthreatsandhowtoprepareforthem.
“Severeweathermayimpactourcommunityatanytimeoftheyearmakingitimportantfor
everyonetotakestepstoensuretheirsafetyandthesafetyoftheirfamilies,”saidEMADirector
ChuckWhite.“WewanttoencourageallCamdenCountyresidentstoplanandprepareforsevere
weather.”
Throughouttheweek,CamdenCountycitizenswilllearnaboutsevereweatherthreatsand
preparednessstepsincluding:
eFamilyPreparedness,
eThunderstormSafety,
eTornadoSafety,
eLightningSafety,and
eFloodSafety.
