CommissionersisseekingqualifiedapplicantstoserveontheCamdenCountyBoardofElections
&Registration,District2,District4,andDistrict5Appointments.
TheCamdenCountyBoardofElectionsandRegistrationiscomprisedoffivemembers,onefrom
eachdistrict,appointedbytheBoardofCountyCommissioners.TheBoardhasthepowers,
duties,andresponsibilitiesoftheelectionsuperintendentofCamdenCounty;themunicipal
electionsuperintendentoftheCityofKingsland,theCityofSt.Marys,andtheCityofWoodbine;
andtheBoardofRegistrarsofCamdenCounty,whichisprovidedforunderChapter2ofTitle21
oftheO.C.G.A.,the“GeorgiaElectionCode.”
Qualificationsforapplicantsincludethefollowing:
eMustbeatleasttwenty-one(21)yearsofage.
eMustberegisteredtovoteinCamdenCounty;
eMustresideinthedistricttheyrepresentinCamdenCounty,Georgia;
eKnowledgeofFederal,State,andLocalelectionlaws;
eAbilitytoservea4-yearterm;
eAbilitytoactivelyparticipateintheroleoftheCamdenCountyBoardofElections&
Registration;
eAbilitytoattend(virtuallyorin-person)monthlyscheduledmeetings;
eAbilitytotraveltovotingprecinctsbefore,during,andafterelection(s);
eMustbeabletosuccessfullycompletetheGeorgiaElectionOfficialCertificationProgram
andbecomecertifiedinelectionsadministration;and
eNopersonwhoholdsorqualifiesasacandidateforelectivepublicofficeshallbeeligible
toserveasamemberoftheboardduringthetermofsuchoffice.
