Calendar of Events Tax Year 2013 Payable 2014 Calendar of Events  Apr 25: Tax bills mailed  Jun 02: First installment due  Jun 03: 1.5% interest per month due on late first installment payments, per Illinois State Statute  Sep 02: Second installment due  Sep 03: 1.5% interest per month due on late second installment payments, per Illinois State Statute  Sep 29: Last day for payment by personal check; payments must be made with certified funds after this date  Oct 02: Certified letters mailed on delinquent properties, additional $10 penalty incurred  Oct 07: Payments must be received in our office by this date to avoid newspaper publication  Oct 13: Newspaper publication of delinquent taxes this week (Runs between 10/13 and 10/17)  Oct 15: Tax buyer registration deadline  Oct 20: Last day for credit card payments  Oct 28: Application for judgment and order of sale for taxes on delinquent properties  Oct 28: Final payments must be received in certified funds in the office by 4:30pm to avoid tax sale.  Oct 29: Tax sale begins at 9:00am, County Board Room #400 All dates subject to change.
